Parenting Classes (For Parents of Elementary School Children – Grades K-5)
MBEF is partnering with Pepperdine University and the Manhattan Beach Library to provide a five-part series of Parenting Classes for parents of children in grades K-5. This program was developed by Pepperdine University’s Dr. Judy Ho and her team of researchers, and is a scientifically-driven family education program for parents. It’s based on real parenting needs, cutting-edge empirical data, and Dr. Ho’s years of experience in the field as a licensed clinical psychologist. The program is organized into five topics, and you may attend any or all that are of interest to you. This is a free program but you must reserve a spot.
There are three locations – please be sure to note the location for each session.
Manhattan Beach Library (1320 Highland Avenue, MB)

Session 2: Anxious Behaviors
Session 3: Attention & Concentration Skills
Session 4: Acting Out Behaviors
Session 5: Connecting with your Child
Each session will focus on data-backed parenting techniques, facilitated small group discussion, and provide information for local and state resources. The program is all about helping parents raise happy, healthy, and high-functioning kids. Dr. Ho and her team look forward to the opportunity to present this program to the parents of the Manhattan Beach School District.
