Finally, we love volunteers!  MBEF is a parent-run organization that can always use your help.  We have nearly 300 volunteers that help MBEF in various ways.  Whatever your skill, we will find you a role and its a great way to get involved with one of the most important organizations supporting our schools.    Contact your school’s site representative or call us as (310) 303-3342 to learn more. 

How does it work?

Donations to MBEF fund our grants for the upcoming school year.  Our Annual Appeal runs from August through mid-February.   We encourage parents to donate by MBEF Pledge Week each November.  We raise money one year in advance so that we are in sync with our schools’ budgeting process, which begins in the Spring each year.  As budget discussions begin mid-January, we know how much money we have raised and how much we can allocate for grants for the upcoming year.  So please remember the earlier you donate or pledge, the better it is for us to help support our schools. 

How much should I give?

Our campaign goal is to raise $1,250 per child to cover the cots of MBEF-funded educators.   We understand that not all parents can participate at this level. Please give what you can.  That you give is as important as what you give.  No gift is too small for your child.
