Heading for her Ph.D. in graduate chemistry programs, Kellen Kartub, MC’10, isn’t waiting to finish her degrees before making an impact on the world.  Currently, Kellen, who graduates from Wellesley College this spring, is “working in an organic synthesis lab researching toward the total synthesis of the anti-cancerous compound Spiroxin A by focusing on its key stereogenic center”.  In short, we got a Costa girl trying to cure cancer.  Who knows?  In her spare time, Kellen is a leader in Wellesley’s choir and chamber singers as well as a pilates teacher.  Kellen credits her Manhattan Beach school days for inspiring her to pursue Chemistry seriously in college and encouraging her continued love of music.
