Our next Mark Zuckerberg might just be budding before our eyes in Ms. Farah Kamal’s inaugural year of FabLab, a class designed for exploring new and existing technologies. Students are building everything from mobile apps to arcade games using cardboard boxes (in the spirit of Cain’s Arcade). A recent class even had students assembling their own 3-D printers using off-the-shelf components. The class draws a “thumbs up” from MB’s tween techie crowd. “Ms. Kamal really brings an innovative spirit every day to the classroom which cultivates our interests and passions,” shares one current student.
