New this year, teacher Mr. Aaron Braskin offers a riveting Robotics course at Mira Costa for aspiring engineers to develop and hone real-life technical skills.   For those looking for exposure even earlier, consider checking out MBMS’s Robotics Club, arranging for FIRST Lego League or applying to Beach Cities Robotics (BCR). BCR, a joint effort between Manhattan Beach Unified School District and Redondo Beach Unified School District, offers weekend hours for building that NBT (Next Big Thing!) for the area’s future engineers (aged 9 and up) and encourages our locals to enter regional and national competitions. In fact, last spring, BCR qualified for a national FIRST competition, winning first in a regional competition.
