Introducing…The MBEF Student Ambassadors

By September 25, 2015eNews

Student AmbassadorsThis year at Back-to-School Night or a PTA meeting, you may have had the privilege to hear one of our new Student Ambassadors speak about MBEF and the impact your donations have made on their education. These poised, confident and articulate teens have all volunteered to speak on behalf of MBEF at school and community events throughout the year. They exemplify the caliber of students at Mira Costa High School.

These students all participate in Mira Costa’s nationally recognized Model United Nations (MUN) Program. Under the guidance of advisors Bob Timberlake and Wayne Knutson, they have learned the fine art of debate and public speaking and compete with students from the finest public and private schools in the country. Our MUN students have traveled throughout the United States and internationally, and host an annual conference at Mira Costa with over 1,000 delegates in attendance.

We are sure you’ll agree – these students are an excellent representation of our schools and the opportunities afforded them through your generous donations to MBEF!
