Adam Ingersoll is a nationally-recognized expert in admissions testing and founding partner of Compass Education Group. Adam began his career in test prep in 1993 at USC, where he was a student-athlete and worked in the admission office. Over the past two decades, Adam has guided thousands of families through successful experiences with standardized tests. He has shared his expertise with Mira Costa students and families for the past eight years, providing current information to help guide the process.
Laurie Callaway is an Assistant Director with the University of Colorado Boulder, serving as the university’s territory manager for first-year recruitment in Southern California while working regionally in the area. Previously, she worked with Saint Louis University as a regional program coordinator and with The College of Saint Benedict & Saint John’s University as a regional recruiter.
Steven Koo has worked at Boston College for the past 20 years. For the first six years Stephen worked in the Compliance Office and then moved into the admissions field and is currently the Associate Director in the Office of Undergraduate Admission. Steven has reviewed applications from prospective students in the greater Los Angeles for the past 14 years.
Ffiona Rees has served in the college admission profession for over 20 years and is currently the Deputy Director of Admission at UCLA. Her responsibilities include managing the transfer evaluation process and undergraduate international admission. Prior to moving to California and UCLA in 2012, she worked at The George Washington University in Washington, DC for fifteen years.
Lisa Rhone is Assistant Dean of Admission at the University of Southern California and is the senior manager responsible for undergraduate recruitment strategy. In the profession for over 25 years, her professional experience includes time at the University of the Pacific, University of California at Santa Cruz, and the University of Southern California.
MCHS students are also encouraged to utilize the excellent resources available on campus to support their academic journey and post-graduation pathways. Donations to MBEF help ensure that the MCHS School Counselors and the College and Career Center Counselors are valuable resources for all students.
