MBEF is celebrating its 40th Anniversary of supporting the Manhattan Beach public schools on Saturday, May 6th from 10am-12pm at Metlox Plaza. The 40 years of support equates to over $100 million in directed funding to build a foundation of excellence in our schools. We would like to invite the entire community to join us for a special presentation, refreshments and activities for attendees of all ages.
As part of the celebration, MBEF will be unveiling the Seeds of Knowledge Community Recognition Project — an art installation in downtown Manhattan Beach at Metlox Plaza acknowledging the community of educators, parents, students, volunteers, and donors who value and support education. The installation not only celebrates the decades of support of our schools through MBEF and the Endowment, but also invites viewers to explore the significance of education in our lives. The mural depicts a child discovering the world — the layers of earth beneath her, the environment around her, and the future represented in the stars.
