Join us for the Skechers Pier to Pier Friendship Walk at the Manhattan Beach Pier on Sunday, October 20th to support both children with special needs through the Friendship Foundation and our local students through MBEF. Register with one of the teams listed below and designate your contribution to MBEF so that all of our schools benefit. REGISTRATION STEP BY STEP PROCESS

  • STEP #1: Click on JOIN TEAM button
  • STEP #2: Select Participation Type: Registered Walker or Virtual Walker
  • STEP #3: Register as a new walker or log into a previous account to register as a returning walker. The User Name and Password can be reset by clicking on the link “Email me my login information.”
    • Follow the prompts to enter all necessary information. Under Additional Information #2, please select the Manhattan Beach Education Foundation as the beneficiary. Selecting more than one beneficiary will decrease the support our Manhattan Beach schools receive.
  • STEP #4: Accept the waiver to proceed to checkout.
  • STEP #5: Review your registration. If you would like to register additional family members on the same team click on the Register Family Member button.
  • STEP #6: Complete registration with your payment information. Once registration is complete, check your email for updates and fundraising instructions.

How do I register online?

To register to participate, please click on your school team below. Follow these instructions that walk you through each step of the process. Don’t forget to click on Manhattan Beach Education Foundation as your charity of choice.

How much does it cost?

Registration is $30 per person for in-person or virtual. Registration comes with a FREE t-shirt and swag bag.

Where is the start and finish line?

The Walk begins by the Manhattan Beach Pier. Participants walk south towards Hermosa Beach, turn around at the Hermosa Beach Pier, then return at the Manhattan Beach Pier. The Walk from pier to pier and back is about 3.5 miles.

I pre-registered. Where do I check in?

Check-in tables open at 8am in the lower parking lot off of Manhattan Beach Boulevard on event day. Early check-in to pick up gift bags and t-shirt takes place the Friday and Saturday preceding the Walk at the Skechers store in Downtown Manhattan Beach. Where is the shuttle parking?

Skechers Pier to Pier Friendship Walk is offering a FREE public shuttle from two remote parking lots for those attending the event on Sunday, October 20. The shuttle will run from 6:30 am to 1:30 pm from two separate lots:

  • Northrop Grumman Parking Lot “R2”
    One Space Park Drive
    Redondo Beach, CA 90278
  • Kinecta Federal Credit Union
    1440 Rosecrans Avenue
    Manhattan Beach, CA 90266

The parking lots will be open and free to all users (subject to space availability). The shuttles will run continuously during the hours of operation. Please allow 15-20 minutes for each shuttle to loop. The drop-off location is in front of the Public Library at City Hall (1400 Highland Avenue), Manhattan Beach, CA. The event site is a short 5-minute walk down the hill.

As many of you know, parking at the beach can be challenging. Arrive early for spots on Manhattan Avenue and check this site for lot information: www.downtownmanhattanbeach.com/mapparking. Please note: Manhattan Beach Boulevard will be closed from the Pier to Manhattan Avenue for the Pumpkin Races!

Is ADA parking available?
Due to street and parking lot closures, ADA parking can be challenging. However, the parking link shows a number of options on the map: www.downtownmanhattanbeach.com/mapparking. The earlier your arrival, the more choices you will have, so plan ahead!

Where do I park?

As many of you know, parking at the beach can be challenging. If you have the ability to walk or bike, we encourage that. If driving, arrive early for spots and check the Downtown Manhattan Beach parking lot webpage for specific parking lot locations. Shuttle details from perimeter parking lots outside of the downtown area will be shared closer to event date. Please note: Manhattan Beach Boulevard will be closed from the Pier to Manhattan Avenue for the Pumpkin Races!

What time does the walk start?

Check-in and registration begins at the Manhattan Beach Pier. Come early to visit the Kids Zone and exhibitors. The stage program begins at 9am and will feature exciting, high-energy performances. The Walk will begin at the conclusion of the program at approximately 9:30 am.
