Preparing Students for a Changing World

STEAM education develops the skills students need to thrive in a modern, global society—creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, persistence, and problem solving. MBEF funding supports engaging, hands-on programs that bring STEAM learning to life at every grade level.

MakerSpace Specialists

MBEF funds FOUR trained MakerSpace Specialists at our elementary schools to guide students through the creative design process. Students learn to think like engineers and inventors using everyday tools and materials.

Science Lab Teachers

MBEF supports THREE credentialed science teachers who bring science to life for all elementary students with dynamic experiments and challenges that connect the classroom curriculum with hands-on activities to make complex concepts understandable.

STEAM Pathway Electives

MBEF connects early STEAM learning in elementary school with diverse and in-depth elective options in middle and high school, helping students explore their interests and build essential skills for the future.
